Was Jesus Christ a False Prophet? False Mesiah?

Was Christ a liar? Was he a false prophet? Did he make predictions of things that didn’t come true? When he said they would? The way he said they would? Is Matthew 24’s “The Olivet Discourse” simply a bunch of metaphors that don’t really mean anything? Is our being here proof that Christ lied because he had predicted the end of the world would come before now?

Do you believe these things? Do you believe any of these things?

If you doubt/disbelieve/disallow Christ because he failed on anything,

I’d like to challenge you.

Christ spoke of Eschatology; the time of the end, or; the last days. Some believe Christ predicted these things would come upon the people living then but these people also believe that since some or none of them actually happened; this proves Christ a false prophet, false Christ, false messiah; possibly even misguided himself. Some even believe Christ was a good man, with good intentions, but that he could not have been the prophesied messiah for various reasons.

Christ was the prophesied Messiah; He did everything he said he’d do, the way he said it, when he said it would happen. Things and events took place that he prophesied; just as he said they would happen.

Problems do; and will exist in the interpretations of the metaphors, parables and words in scripture and this directly affects our thinking, understanding, knowledge and wisdom of the words in scripture.

Based on the assumption that the predictions & prophecies of the New Testament; even those simply carried forward from various books in the Old Testament that spoke of the same things and/or time, were truly from God; they will have to be proven faultless or God, Christ, The Apostles & Prophets are all proven to be false in some way, part or whole.

God is the creator of the entire Universe/Solar System and scripture plainly states he is above reproach or correction from man. If this is not first accepted, the rest remains immaterial. Should this negate some from looking into it? Absolutely not! There does exist within humanity; a certain group or sect of people who will examine things they first believe to be ridiculous, preposterous or even just plain silly or stupid. Thoughts change; so do emotions, actions, reactions, beliefs and/or opinions. We learn as we grow.

The problems come in those things that we learn because we all learn truth and falsehoods. We all learn to believe and accept lies as truth and truth as lies. We do these things through mans’ ever-evolving (mental) state. Our thinking influences everything we do. We believe things today we had no knowledge of as children or when we were younger. Our opinions, thoughts, feelings and beliefs all change over time and we even now possess things that we will feel or believe differently about as our day’s progress, all the way to the grave.

If you are not open to examining what’s out there; you’ll only stumble onto the truth occasionally and mostly by accident or trial & error. But remember; the truth you decide upon is not simply & solely developed, acquired or realized through your own efforts. You are surrounded your entire life by others who have the ability to influence or sway your opinions, thoughts, feelings and/or actions. Neither you nor I can make a decision without first referencing, referring to or considering that possibility as happening to someone else at some other point in time and basing our (for the moment) opinions on the thoughts at that time. These to can be changed or altered over time, we never reach the point of absolute knowledge.

If you refuse to believe Christ is the actual Messiah because he failed at anything or everything, I’ve got a message for you. If you believe the Apostles were blind followers or even that some of them had their own agenda, we need to meet. If you believe the warnings of Christ & John the Baptist who both said “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” meant it was eventually coming or that it was about to but failed? I’ve got a question for you: If something is at hand, is it meant to happen 2,000 + years later?

Have you excused/reasoned/rationalized Christianity as a failed hope because Christ, God, The Apostles, Prophets or Scriptures failed in any way in their predictions & prophecies of (their) future, I’ve got a method of reading and understanding of scripture that I believe you need to hear and I’m only asking that you listen & consider the possibility that it could be real.

I am only human; I do make mistakes & bad judgments. I mess up and am wrong on many things: but so are you. Does that mean none of anything either of us says is to be believed? There has never; nor will ever exist, a human who is 100% right, 100% of the time, (except Christ) throughout the entirety of their life. Can we totally discount someone’s credibility based on any one statement, belief or opinion? Should we? Aren’t we all wrong on occasion? We can not have our cake and eat it to: If we believe we are justified in condemning someone, or their thought, opinion, feeling, idea or belief; are we not equally allowing this possibility on ourselves from others? Doesn’t this negate anyone from ever being believable?

Of course not: Justification comes in here. This is where tolerance is born. How much of someone else’s opinions, thoughts, ideas or actions are we willing to put up with, or tolerate? Tolerance is not a world-wide concept or idea of eternal bliss & tranquility, it is simply an idea of letting someone else have & demonstrate an alternative opinion, thought or feeling but there are levels of tolerance. Some people can only be pushed so far; others can put up with or tolerate only so much. This word is highly used by those wishing to fit in and be accepted as equals when it comes to their own individual or gathered opinions, thoughts or feelings but is seldom given even by these people to those who stand in opposition; or against them. Each party believes they have given their all but the other party is not listening, examining or considering their thoughts, opinions, ideas or feelings. This unfortunately; is cyclical: meaning that it is never ending.

Somewhere in this battlefield of our minds, we decide what is right and what is wrong. We decide what is allowed and what is not. We decide who should breath and who shouldn’t. We become Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Why would, do, will Christians refuse to accept Christ

at his word on so many things?

Christ said:

Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. At hand means near but today’s’ experts say this does not mean the kingdom was already near to being.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. But the experts do not believe Christ is saying they (the Apostles) would not finish going through Israel before Christ returned.

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. Instead of seeing the direct application of this message & warning to the divided house of Israel, people have simply turned it into a catch phrase or cliché.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Jesus gives an illusion of how Israel had turned on God but had attempted to return while bringing in all of the Idols & Evils they had learned when astray from him. He tells them that the last state of Israel was worse than the first state. Although this was another direct application to them then, this too has simply become a catch phrase or cliché for people to swing around. He also attempts to label or date his saying by including the phrase “this wicked generation” but again; the so-called experts have stated this simply refers to all Jewish people, all believers or all time from then until the end of the earth. (Almost 2,000 years and counting?)

The harvest is the end of the age. Christ states the Harvest/Rapture would happen at the end of the age. Experts either say this is not the Rapture or that it more accurately means “end of the world” as is said in some translations (which some have corrected)

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this age. “In THE END of THIS AGE” People could not accept this referring to a generation long since past so they re-created it as yet future (end of this world) to give Christians false hope.

So shall it be at the end of the age: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just. We again run into the old stuck-on method of “end of the world” but also notice it is the wicked being severed from among the righteous. God pulled the weeds from the garden first?

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Words earlier in the same chapter again show the bad being removed, FIRST! No Pre-Trib Rapture?

The classic argument against this actually being the Rapture or that the bad are removed first; or that this should answer the pre/mid/post/Trib Rapture question is simple. If you don’t see it or acknowledge it, it doesn’t exist and you are free to add your own interpretation.

Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

The Religious Authority of Israel was not respecting the Law of Moses when it came to killing (stoning) children who cursed their parents or just would not listen & obey; (Deuteronomy 21:18-21) simply because they (The Religious Authority) thought it was especially cruel and over-kill. Whenever man faces the words or ways of God that strike fear or guilt into our hearts for the things we’ve done, said, believed, felt, thought of or imagined; or when we come face to face with something of, from, for or about God that we simply do not want or want to believe; we’ll change the words or the intended meaning to justify our own beliefs, which is what we want to believe but which may not be what God wants for us.

Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Even though Christ himself said “it’s not what you put in your body that defiles it but rather “what comes out of your heart; your thoughts, imaginations, emotions and feelings” these are what defiles a person but again; self-proclaimed or even recognized scholars or leaders are saying materialistic things do in fact defile our bodies. They do affect but they do not defile; not in the sense Jesus was referring to but people simply have to be right so when cornered; they’ll usually respond with “Well, you know what I mean, it’s still the same thing” When it’s not! My all-time favorite is when people say “Same difference” what? Same means identical and difference means uh? Different? Diverse? Unlike? So they’re using an oxymoron to make a point?

Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Even though Christ told those standing there (There be some standing here)  that some of them would not die before he returned, our current day experts believe this simply means Jews, Believers, Christians or Humans will still be alive when Christ returns. A few questions! Were you or I there, then? Can we reason someone from almost 2,000 years ago still living today, waiting for Christ to return? Or could it be that this has already happened? Or did Christ lie or mislead them?

Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Is it really so difficult to see Jesus was speaking to them about things that affected them and not some future people, let alone all believers throughout time?

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Apparently; some people don’t care for the word (YE) in this verse actually relating to those who were standing there when Christ said it so they’ve reinvented this phrase simply to address those living at the time of the abomination; which of course is taught as yet future to us in 2007. The word (YE) can from other verses be used to show principles that apply to all believers but the same prophecy of this “The Abomination of Desolation” can not be seen by all believers in every generation.

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day. Although Christ says “pray ye that your flight” to those standing there, then; we’re supposed to believe he didn’t really mean them, and that they actually knew he didn’t mean them? I wonder if that’s why it’s written as if directly to them. Or at least those living then?

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. This isn’t Christ telling the Apostles that when they saw these things coming into being, they were to know his return was soon?

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. Again; the word generation is currently taught to mean all Jews, Believers, Christians or all believers throughout time until the end of the earth, depending on who you ask. Not many are willing to consider or accept that “this generation” actually refers to those living then and having multiple alternative beliefs available only makes the search for the truth that much harder.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. One of “these things” Christ said would happen before that generation passed away was his return and again; his own words do say he would return before that generation ended.

In addition to all these verses; read the parable of the Tares: Matthew 13:24-33, The Parable of the Net: Matthew 13:47-50, The Parable of the Vineyard: Matthew 21:33-41, Mark 12:1-11, Luke 20:9-18, The Parable of the wedding feast: Matthew 22:1-10, Luke 14:16-24, The Parable of the Nobleman: Luke 19:11-17, The Parables of the Virgins & The Talents: Matthew 25, and the Parable of the Fig Tree in Luke 13:6-9

These parables; in addition to the carefully worded statements by Christ tell us his every intention was to return before the last of that generation had passed. Verses such as “Verily I say unto you, There be some STANDING HERE, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom” can be buried in obscurity for some but the words; when plainly read & understood, show Christ telling the Apostles some people living then would live to see him return. “Be some standing HERE, shall not taste of death, till they see” Futurist’s have simply taken the obvious and buried it in interpretation. Metaphors & Parables require interpretation; plainly worded statements do not.
