YE, YOU & YOUR

One thing I am not is an English Teacher. That being said; there are many people in English speaking, Reading & Writing countries that need some serious English lessons when it comes to reading scripture and the biggest lesson I personally could teach anyone is that IT WASN’T ORIGINALLY WRITTEN IN ENGLISH! The Bible; as we know it today did not even have an English ancestor until the 1300’s to 1400’s. It amazes me how many people within the Church are teaching that the Bible is the flawless, inerrant, infallible & perfect word & will of God. What garbage! Anyone who knows much about the chain of events leading up to our having an English version of the Bible today; knows good, well and ready that while its original writings, wishes & intents were perfectly honest, those who have handled it since have done nothing but re-write & re-create it over & over again. I think this is much the case for understanding much in scripture today. We’ve muddied up the water’s just enough to cloud up the original but it still lets us see what we want, even if that’s the wrong thing.

Hebrew & Aramaic along with their different versions and dialects were the primary languages both written & spoken throughout the Old Testament; its times and Gods’ peoples. The generations living during the events & writing of the New Testament and even the Books in “The Apocrypha” represented the next shift in the language development process and most educated scholars throughout the then developed world were now communicating in Greek. The oldest copies of the (combined) New Testament (Matthew to Revelation) known to exist today were written in Greek; these date back somewhere near the fourth century: 300 to 399 AD and most Bible (New Testament) versions are based on these copies, even those in Latin that were translated into Latin from the Greek. (Not the Latin Vulgate)

I believe one of the most fundamental problems in understanding New Testament Prophecy comes in the succeeding generations not seeing; believing or accepting the relevance of how these prophecies could have; would have or did affect those living in the first century when they were written. Imagine the feelings; thoughts and emotions of people living in 60 AD and hearing Peter reading this “Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it” This was Stephen talking to those who would soon after stone him to death. He was speaking to those living then and this is nothing more than a history lesson for anyone since. Imagine those living then and listening to Christ when He said:

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

Woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

All of the statements were from Christ; to, for and about those He was talking to THEN! We can always find similarities to certain events; messages or other aspects in scripture but these woes to those people were warnings to them of all the wrong they were doing. A good majority of these verses come from Matthew 23 which closes with this:

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord

Christ had cursed the non-believing religious authority of the House of Israel “That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth” this was to be the promised judgment upon the House of Israel whereby Christ would “throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire” and Christ reminded them that this judgment would come upon them; in their generation “Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate” House here can either be referring to the Temple itself or the House of Israel but in either case; the House of Israel was to be laid waste and left desolate, or empty. Malachi 4:1 “that it shall leave them neither root nor branch

This was also the timing of another of Christ’s prophecies “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof” the time was coming when the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven would be available to the Gentiles; which was and is the New Covenant or New Testament but before the final step could take place for this full-transfer “In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away” the time had come for the judgment upon the House of Israel and they were “trodden underfoot for forty and two months” from 66-70 AD: not continuously but over a period of 3 ½ years was the House of Israel dismantled and the time of the “fullness of the Gentiles” was fulfilled and the “New Covenant” the “Everlasting Covenant” Hebrews 13:20 was in place now as the sole (only) covenant.

As John the Baptist; Christ & the Apostles all went forward saying “Repent YE for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” Who were they talking to? Were you there? When Jesus said “Oh YE of little faith” in Matthew 8:26 & 16:8; who was Christ speaking to? Many people have taken the ye’s, you’s & yours from scripture and routinely applied every example to every believer throughout time. Look at the following verses:

And he SENT THEM to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and WHEN YE have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also” Matthew 2:8

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said UNTO THEM, O generation of vipers, who hath WARNED YOU to flee from the wrath to come?” Matthew 3:7

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said TO THEM that followed, Verily I say UNTO YOU, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel” Matthew 8:10

And Jesus knowing THEIR THOUGHTS said, Wherefore THINK YE evil in YOUR HEARTS?” Matthew 9:4

And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith UNTO THEM, BELIEVE YE that I am able to do this? THEY SAID unto him, Yea, Lord” Matthew 9:28

THESE TWELVE Jesus sent forth, and COMMANDED THEM, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter YE NOT” Matthew 10:5

But when they PERSECUTE YOU in this city, FLEE YE into another: for verily I say UNTO YOU, YE SHALL not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come” Matthew 10:23

Then cometh he to HIS DISCIPLES, and saith UNTO THEM, Sleep on now, and take YOUR REST: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners” Matthew 26:45

Pilate said UNTO THEM, YE HAVE a watch: go YOUR WAY, make it as sure AS YE can” Matthew 27:65

This set of verses should clearly show that in each instance; all uses of the words YE, YOU & YOUR are directed towards people who lived THEN and in no way, affect people who lived beyond their own time. Some people will read certain things in scripture and while recognizing the implications to, for and about those within the first century, the smallest similarity to a current day situation will cause them to claim that that particular word; phrase or sentence was written to, for or about all believers throughout time. A good example of this would be found in 2nd Timothy 3:1-5

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away

In a personal letter from Paul to Timothy; which has been deemed Holy Scripture, Paul warns Timothy to look for these kinds of people during these perilous times “from such turn away” which shows Paul clearly thought these “last days” would be or were already in their time. Paul also recognizes that they were indeed living in the “last days” as expressed in His letter to the Hebrews: Hebrews 1:2 “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds” and which Luke also said they were already in “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” in Acts 2:16-17 Luke said this happened on the Day of Pentecost almost 2,000 years ago and people believe we are still in THOSE “last days”. .

Even James; the (believed by some) brother of Jesus spoke of people already being in the last days “Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last daysCould THEY heap together treasure for the last days if THEY weren’t in those last days?shall come upon YOU” THEM!

One of the things that has happened is that those in the Church today see references that were general messages that did apply to all believers or even non-believers throughout time (Which I refer to as the Principles) and confused together with these; the prophecies that were for those living in the first century. Notice the usage of the words you, ye & your in the following verses:

Matthew 5:20 FOR I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT EXCEPT YOUR righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, YE shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:22 BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, THOU FOOL, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 5:28 BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matthew 5:32 BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Matthew 5:34 BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

Matthew 5:39 BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, That YE resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite THEE on THY right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:44 BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, Love YOUR enemies, bless them that curse YOU, do good to them that hate YOU, and pray for them which despitefully use YOU, and persecute YOU;

Matthew 5:46 FOR IF YE love them which love YOU, what reward have YE? do not even the publicans the same?

Matthew 6:2 THEREFORE WHEN THOU doest THINE alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I SAY UNTO YOU, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:5 AND WHEN THOU prayest, THOU shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I SAY UNTO YOU, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:14 FOR IF YE forgive men their trespasses, YOUR heavenly Father will also FORGIVE YOU:

Matthew 6:16 MOREOVER WHEN YE fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I SAY UNTO YOU, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I SAY UNTO YOU, Take no thought for YOUR LIFE, what YE shall eat, or what YE shall drink; nor yet for YOUR body, what YE shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:27 WHICH OF YOU by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Matthew 6:29 And yet I SAY UNTO YOU, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe YOU, O YE of little faith?

Matthew 6:33 But SEEK YE first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added UNTO YOU.

Matthew 7:2 For with what judgment YE judge, YE shall be judged: and with what measure YE mete, it shall be measured to YOU again.

Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast YE YOUR pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend YOU.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given YOU; seek, and YE shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto YOU:

Matthew 7:9 Or what man is there of YOU, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Some people refer to the “Pearls of Wisdom” the LDS Church even have a book by the same name but these are again; what I call, the Principles of the scriptures. What we have in each example of the verses above is warnings, directives, blessings & judgments that were first spoken to and for those standing there (in the first century) but these words are also the things we are to live by and according to as well, Principles. These are words spoken to, for & about both believers & non-believers and there is one glaring omission in them: None of these verses speak of prophecy; nothing contained in these verses directly relates to being a teaching on any prophecies or the timing of their individual or collective fulfillments, they simply speak of principles.

These are the usages people have become familiar with in scripture because that is the way they are taught. Many leaders today are teaching that nearly every ye, you or your in scripture relates to every believer or non believer throughout time and this has been a contributing factor in peoples’ inability; unwillingness to accept or complete lack of knowledge that these prophecies related to those within the Generation that Jesus walked amongst but the principles remain forever.

Matthew 24: The beginning of the Olivet Discourse.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This is possibly the most misunderstood chapter in the entire Bible; with the exception of the Book of Revelation. I have seen myriads of interpretations given to this chapter: Everything from it actually being solely about what happened in the events leading up to & including 70 AD to those who believe this chapter represents a split, or partial fulfilled prophecy. Some see dual or multiple fulfillments and some see no fulfillments of these prophecies as of yet. Some say there are some being fulfilled around us every day and we also have those that simply don’t care for or about what was written in any way. People have a habit of forgetting that when dealing with extremes or prophecies; they like humans, have numerous interpretations: everything from the greatest extreme; to the lowest extreme, and many, many levels in between those.

Within this chapter; we have the word “ye” used 12 times in 9 verses: 24:2, 6 twice, 9, 15, 20, 32, 33 twice, 42 & 44. The word “you” appears 9 times in 8 verses: 24:2, 4, 9 twice, 23, 25, 26, 34 & 47. The word “your” appears 2 times, 24:20 & verse 42. Out of these 23 uses of ye, you & your; only one shows itself as not singularly specific to them, in their time & generation. Matthew 24:42 “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” The remaining body of context in the scriptures teaches us Christ is the Lord of all believers. Conversely: Matthew 24:20 “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day” shows itself as singularly specific to them; about their own or others in the same time frame; period or generation. It is not written in a distant future tense such as “but they should pray that their flight” which would clearly show itself not relating to any of those standing there but this phrase “your flight” in immediately prefaced (preceded) with the personal pronoun yeshowing this applied to them or at least some of them standing there at the time.

Another use of the word “ye” showing itself to be a singularly specific pronoun; which applies itself solely & directly at them, or others in the same time frame; period or generation is Matthew 24:15  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” Christ does not say “when they therefore” or “when those people therefore” which would clearly show as relating to a distant future people, time, period or generation. When looked at in their proper context; which is almost as it is written, one begins to see Christ’s is to be taken for his word and not what man thinks, feels, needs or wants to be there in or through interpretation.

Matthew 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mathew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

These are all singularly specific from Christ to the Apostles about the things that would occur prior to and during his return. These are to be understood as applying to the “then” living generation. “therefore be ye also ready” Christ was reminding them to be ready. “And Jesus said unto them” couldn’t be any clearer. “then shall they deliver you” this spoke directly to the Apostles that some of them would die for and because of their faith, not to be generally applied to any or all Christians who die defending Christianity. It amazes me that believers through all generations think themselves worthy of being compared to the Apostles; receiving the same blessings, able to perform the same tasks & miracles. It equally astounds me that people see a future generation more deserving of Gods’ wrath than those who lived when his son was killed. Scripture plainly states both Jews & Gentiles were guilty of Christ’s’ death but that death was brought about by those living then, in their generation. Neither Jews nor Gentiles of any generation since carry personal responsibility for Christ’s death, beyond the sin they commit; which he died to redeem all believers from.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you

All bold references show Jesus speaking to them of things that would come upon them.

Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not

Matthew 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

If these false prophets and/or Christ’s attempt to mislead them; they are warned to remain vigilant.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Matthew 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods

I say unto you” and “This generation" both show time references to them, then. Generation has never been shown to relate to the entirety of time from then until the end of the world.

Matthew 24:25 Behold, I have told you before

This is one of my personal favorites: Christ reminds the Apostles these are things he has said to them before; neither you nor I were there, then. The word “you” in one sentence within a story addresses the person; or people of that time; the person or people standing or living then. It is totally unreasonable to take another example/version of the word “you” in another part of that same story and ideologically place that usage to a future people some 2,000 + years away.

Whether you use fancy words such as Interpretation; Context or Hermeneutics; or if you choose to use simple words such as Understanding, Version or even Explanation or you would even choose to use complex words such as Reading or Construal; they all come down to Analysis or Education. Coming to grips with what something means is what is meant to be understood by all of these synonyms; which are words that are similar in Context, Understanding, Version, Explanation, Reading, Interpretation, Hermeneutics, Analysis or Education and while all the dogma, doctrines, sects, rules, regulations, requirements, mandates and congregations argue, critique, debate, fight, war & kill; every word, phrase or story in scripture only has one divine & perfect truth and this is what causes the wars in the understanding of the scriptures. We have the perfect double-standard: we don’t want anyone telling us we’re wrong or telling us that they’re right.

I believe this to be a factual reason behind things such as political correctness and even teachers withholding the truth from those they teach because it’s not popular, liked or wanted. Pontius Pilate said it best “what is truth” The greater majority today not only believes that truth is relative; in all cases, but that it should be mandated into every society in that manner. Absolute truths, Morals or Righteousness if you will; are never subject to speculation & consideration for our approval; this is precisely why we have those that fight against it.

Truth requires accountability and admitting you not only could be wrong, but are in many cases, is the hardest pill man has developed to swallow. Over-sensitivity is one of the fastest growing cancers we have in society. “Everyone should have a say or opinion” has been translated into laws, rules or regulations passed that mandate the right to exist; persecute or defend anything & everything in the world from opinions, feelings & emotions, to demands, mandates, rules, laws & requirements and everyone is walking around half-confused; most of the time.

I’m sure I’ve offended many just in writing this material and proposing my beliefs & opinions. Why? Have I denied you your beliefs and/or opinions? If I’ve caused you to doubt, question or re-examine your own thoughts, beliefs, interpretation, feelings or opinions: is it fair to say it was simply me & my ideas rather than believing; or even considering that these things are simply what scripture says. Call it “the Holy Spirit bringing you into the knowledge or the remembrance of things already taught to you” if you like. Standing up for what you believe in is another one of the things the church itself has helped to destroy by labeling it with words such as pride or ego and all their synonyms. The very thought or idea that I should write in these pages that “this is what I believe to be the truth” challenges, thwarts, rebuts, cuts or even stabs at your very soul and is taken as an offensive comment; meant & directed at attacking them, and it’s simply my opinion and what I believe. You attack me for doing exactly what you do; having your own thoughts, ideas, opinions, feelings or beliefs except you think that I am trying to force you to change these views, I am simply a messenger with a message and these words contain some of my own personal beliefs.
